About the vizrm LinkedIn CRM Integration
When on a LinkedIn contact profile with the vizrm browser extension installed, it will search for the profile’s URL and name in your CRM database. Based on the result of this search, it will either allow you to create a new contact or ask you to confirm a search result.
Note: to prevent the creation of duplicates in the CRM, it is critical to create a CRM attribute for person record’s LinkedIn profile URL (e.g., https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe/) and map this field in the vizrm CRM integration settings.
Creating new CRM contacts
When no match is found in your CRM, vizrm will add a button to the LinkedIn profile, “Add to CRM,” and the vizrm widget will indicate a new contact by a red dot. The widget can be opened by clicking the button or the widget itself.
For new contacts, vizrm automatically retrieves the profile’s latest workplace and searches for this organization in your CRM. The search result is indicated at the top of the widget either as a single or a list of potential matches or a proposed new organization. Users can also use this field to search for CRM organizations manually.
To create the new contact, it is required to first select the correct organization or confirm the creation of a new one - this is a critical step to prevent the creation of duplicates.
Below the organization section of the vizrm widget, the contact name and job title are filled automatically with data from the LinkedIn profile, which can also be adjusted manually. Note: for some CRM systems, job title is not a default attribute and needs to be configured in the CRM integration settings of your vizrm account.
Additional CRM attributes can be populated by the user on the details tab in the widget's bottom section. Note: these fields can be configured individually for each user.
Click “create contact” at the bottom of the widget to add the contact (and is applicable, also the organization) to the CRM. The new record will include the name, job title, profile picture, LinkedIn profile URL, and any additional attributes provided in the details. It will be associated with the selected organization automatically.
Matching existing CRM contacts
Sometimes, vizrm finds one or more potential records for a LinkedIn profile in your CRM database. In this case, the user must identify and match the correct record with the profile to establish a persistent connection between the LinkedIn profile and the CRM record:
A single contact with the name but no LinkedIn URL has been found: confirm this is the correct person by selecting “match contact” at the bottom of the widget
Multiple contacts have been found that could match this profile: vizrm will show you all options sorted by the organization they are related to. Hover and click on the correct option to match the contact.
In any case, you can select “no match” at the bottom of the widget to create a new contact for the LinkedIn profile.
