About views
A view controls which CRM fields appear on the cards in your org chart, and how those cards are coloured. Switching views changes what the chart shows you without changing any data.
To apply a view, open an org chart and click Views at the bottom of the left icon rail. The panel lists every view available to you; click one to apply it.
The Show field labels toggle at the top of the panel prints the CRM field name above each value on the card. Turn it off for a cleaner chart once you know your fields by sight.
Building a view
Click Manage views in the Views panel to open Card views. Your views are listed on the left; the selected one is edited on the right.
The editor shows an example Company card and an example Contact card
Add a field — click Add company field or Add contact field and pick a property from your CRM. The list is searchable and shows each field's type.
Reorder — drag the handle on the left of a field.
Remove — click the × on the right of a field.
Each card holds up to five fields. For the full record of one person, use the sidebar. Click Save views when you're done.
Creating, duplicating, and deleting
+ New view at the bottom of the list creates an empty view — no fields on either card, and the cards are grey until you choose something to colour them by.
To start from an existing view instead, open the ··· menu next to it and choose Duplicate view. Rename a view with the pencil icon in the Views panel. Delete view is in the same ··· menu.
Colouring the cards
Pick a dropdown or number field on the contact card to colour cards by. Click the palette icon on the field, or Edit colours at the bottom of the editor.
For a dropdown field, you assign a colour to each value. Those values also appear as coloured pills on the card itself, and the chart legend lists the mapping, so anyone reading the chart can see what the colours mean without being told.
For a number field you pick a low and a high colour instead, and cards blend between them. See Analyze the org chart with custom views.
Default view, and sharing with your team
Open the ··· menu next to any view to set it as your default. That's the view you'll see when you open a chart.
Administrators get two more options in the same menu:
Share with team makes the view available to everyone in your vizrm account.
Set as team default makes it the view colleagues see when they open a chart, unless they've chosen a default of their own.
Sharing and team defaults are available on the Professional plan only. On Base you can keep one view, which is personal to you.
Shared views are marked in the list, so you can tell at a glance which views are yours alone and which your team can see.
