About Org Chart Views
vizrm allows for complete customization of the data/attributes displayed on the org chart and in the details section of the sidebar. These customizations can be stored in so-called “views”. A view is defined as a set of attributes from the CRM overlayed on the org chart and the details section of the sidebar.
To apply a custom view to the org chart, go to the views dropdown on the chart menu, hover over “My views” or “Shared views,” and click the view that should be displayed.
Creating a new custom view
To create a new custom view, either select “Create new view” from the views dropdown in the chart menu or navigate to the view settings panel by clicking the button with the settings/gear icon at the top right of the vizrm user interface and from the view settings panel select the “new” button.
In the “Create a new view” dialogue, provide a name for the view and optionally select an existing view as a template. Selecting a template will copy the configuration from the template into the new view upon creation.
Editing custom views
To edit a view, navigate to the view settings panel by clicking the button with the settings/gear icon at the top right of the vizrm user interface and select the view from the dropdown menu at the top.
The view settings panel provides two sections for each view that can be accessed via the tabs “Chart” and “Sidebar”:
Chart View Setting
This section allows the selection of 3 CRM attributes displayed on the org chart for organization and person records. Click “add field” to add a new field under each section, and click into the field to select a CRM field (including custom CRM attributes).
Further, the coloring scheme for this view can be defined at the bottom of the chart view settings. This can be driven either by a numeric attribute, in which the coloring will be a gradient with a specified minimum and maximum color, or by a discrete single - or multi-value attribute, where each value has a defined color.
Chart Color Using Single Value Attributes
If selecting a single value attribute for coloring, each value has a defined color assigned that will be applied to each contact on the chart that holds this value for the selected attribute. Color mapping will be displayed in the legend on the chart.
Chart Color Using Numeric Attributes
If selecting a numeric value attribute for coloring, you can define the color for the minimum and maximum values of this attribute. The contacts on the chart will be colored with the corresponding gradient between these that matches the contact's attribute value.
Chart Color Using Multi-Value Attributes
If selecting a multi-value attribute for coloring, you can define a concrete color for each option of the attribute.
Multi-value attributes are displayed as "labels" on the chart if this field is configured in the chart view. They are colored according to the color mapping you define.
Note: if you do not choose to display the attribute as part of your chart view, it will not be displayed, although you may have defined a color mapping for the attribute.
Sidebar Setting
This section allows the configuration of the fields displayed in the sidebar panel’s details section for organizations and persons. This also defines which fields can be edited for contacts in the vizrm sidebar panel.
Note: Attributes in the chart view are always displayed on the sidebar.
Complete the editing of a view by clicking the “save” button at the bottom of the view settings panel.
Default views and sharing custom views
Each user can define one of their custom views as their individual default view, which is displayed whenever opening a chart for the first time. To do so, they select the view in the view settings panel and select the “My default view” checkbox at the top of the panel.
Visivrm administrators can define their custom views as “shared” by selecting the check mark “Shared View” for a given view. When a view is shared, it appears for all users of a vizrm company account under the chart menu view dropdown option “shared views”.
Admins can also make a view the default view for all non-admin users by selecting the “Shared Default View” checkbox at the top of the view settings panel
Re-naming, deleting custom views
The additional menu next to the dropdown at the top of the view settings panel provides the option to rename or delete the selected view.
