About Related Organizations

Vizrm supports multiple types of relationships between organizations for different CRMs. Generally, we differentiate between:

  1. Parent-daughter relationships (e.g., in a holding corporation or a multi-national corporation with multiple subsidiaries) and

  2. Loose relationships, e.g., a company that uses external resources from a consulting firm may have a relationship with this firm.

View Related Organizations

All related organizations are displayed in the Related Organizations section of the chart sidebar on the left.

For users with a business license, parent-daughter relationships that exist in the CRM are displayed directly on the org chart when one of the related organizations is loaded.

Edit Organization Relationships

The relationships between organizations can be edited with drag and drop in vizrm, similar to the editing of org charts for person records. Drag an organization object (A) on the org chart over another organization (B) and drop it: the first organization (A) will become a daughter of the second (B).

This change to the organization relationship will be synchronized with the CRM automatically.

Create Organization Relationships

To add a new daughter organization (subsidiary) from the org chart, either click the plus icon from the chart menu and select “Add child organization” or select “Add Child Org” from the Related Organizations section of the chart sidebar.

In the search field, look up any organization from the CRM and select it. Confirm the selection by clicking add. The selection will be added to the org chart under the previously selected organization. It will also be added automatically as a daughter organization to the CRM.

Create new Organizations as Daughter / Subsidiary

To create a new organization in vizrm and the CRM, either click the plus icon from the chart menu and select “Add child organization” or select “Add Child Org” from the Related Organizations section of the chart sidebar.

In the following dialogue, select the button “new” on the right of the search field. Provide a name for the organization and confirm with the button “Create Organization & add as Child”
